A Founder’s Story: From the Desert to the Boardroom

Explorer Events is the product of vision, heritage, and a love for adventure. After completing my degree in Motorsport Engineering in the UK, I joined the family business, Explorer, determined to evolve it beyond traditional tourism into something experiential, meaningful, and lasting.

I dove headfirst into developing outdoor adventure programs for schools and corporates. We pioneered overnight expeditions across Liwa’s vast dunes, hiking and canyoning trips in Ras Al Khaimah, and fossil exploration journeys in Mleiha. We worked with schools to develop multi-day leadership expeditions and hands-on outdoor learning.

Then came 2020.

When COVID reshaped the world, we shifted focus to Zerzura, our desert experience brand, refining self-drive buggy adventures and curated private desert dining under the stars. As the world reopened, we saw the changing face of corporate needs—hybrid teams, evolving engagement, and new business priorities.

By 2024, we had transformed Explorer Events into a full-scope corporate events company—no longer limited to outdoor team-building. Today, we design and execute everything from incentive travel, CSR programs, and interactive team challenges to high-end conferences, product launches, and gala dinners.

What hasn’t changed is our purpose: to create authentic, memorable, and human experiences that bring teams closer together.
